Companion Caregiver for Male with Intellectual Disabilities

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate companion caregiver for a 27-year-old male with intellectual disabilities. The client is energetic and enjoys spending time out in the community. He requires supervision to ensure his safety and support with life skills.
Schedule:
- Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Potential evening shifts during the week from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and companionship in the community
- Assist with money management and basic life skills
- Monitor during meals due to choking risk
- Transport client to and from activities using caregiver’s vehicle
- Maintain a calm and safe environment, including managing potential behavioral challenges
Requirements:
- Must pass a Level 2 Background Check
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance
- Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred
Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
