Future Opening: Caregiver for Male with Spina Bifida

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to provide support and assistance for a male client with spina bifida, intellectual disabilities, anxiety, depression, paralysis of the lower extremities (uses a power chair), and a neurogenic bladder. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and possess the skills and empathy necessary to provide high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Remind and assist with bathing and dressing
- Assist in managing medical care
- Provide mobility assistance, including transferring to and from the power chair
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Assist with meal preparation and planning
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Accompany the client in community activities and outings
- Provide verbal prompts and reminders for daily tasks and routines
- Monitor and manage the client's neurogenic bladder care
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving experience, especially with individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities
- Physical ability to assist with transfers and mobility
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must pass Level 2 Background Check
Schedule:
- Full Time
- 8 hour shifts
- 9-5
Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
